Whangarei Youth Space provides free health and well-being and youth work services to young people aged 12-24yrs. Many of the young people we work with, are from low socio economic backgrounds where health and well-being is often not able to be the priority.
Being able to donate menstrual cups to young women is empowering. One young person this month told us she “wishes she knew about the menstrual cups when she got her periods!!” She said “they’re so good she brought herself another and loves how they collect so much blood and save her money”.
UPDATE OCT 2018: This month we have donated one menstrual cup, and provided education to others around the benefits of the cup.
